The SP VirTis AdVantage Pro gives you the advantages of a tray dryer in a benchtop unit. What separates it from a manifold freeze dryer is genuinely temperature-controlled shelves, from -55 to 60 °C, so formulation and lyophilization cycle development can be done on one instrument and then scaled up.
Key features
- The advantages of a tray dryer in a benchtop unit
- Operate the unit using Intellitronics’ vivid, full-colour touchscreen

| Lowest condenser temperature (50 / 60 Hz) | -82 °C / -85 °C |
| Maximum condenser capacity | 6 L |
| Maximum ice condensing capacity in 24 hours | 4 L (deposition rate 0.17 L/hour) |
| Vacuum rate of rise | ≤ 60 mTorr/hour (≤ 0.08 mbar/hour) |
| Number of compressors | 2 (0.333 + 0.75 hp) |
| Dimensions (W × D × H) | 565 × 653 × 754 mm, 140 kg |
| Vacuum pump | Two-stage rotary vane or suitable dry pump (required, not included) |
Shelf configuration
| Shelves | Shelf area | Shelf clearance |
|---|---|---|
| 1 shelf | 143 in² (922 cm²) | 6.2 in (158 mm) |
| 2 shelves | 286 in² (1,844 cm²) | 2.9 in (73 mm) |
| 3 shelves | 429 in² (2,766 cm²) | 1.75 in (44.5 mm) |
The optional shelf latching kit increases clearance by latching shelves together — for example 2-to-1 latching on a two-shelf unit gives 6.2 in (142.2 mm).

Where the benchtop freeze dryer is used in Thailand
Based on the specifications above, the AdVantage Pro suits laboratories that:
- Need to develop and record a freeze-drying cycle that will later be scaled up — shelves hold any setpoint from -55 °C to 60 °C, controlled to within ± 1.0 °C, and pull down from 20 °C to -40 °C in 30 minutes or less.
- Work with vials that must be stoppered before the chamber is opened, which the top-down pneumatic stoppering option does inside the chamber.
- Want to match shelf space to batch size — one, two or three usable shelves give 922, 1,844 or 2,766 cm² of area, with clearance falling from 158 mm to 44.5 mm as shelves are added; with the optional latching kit, unused shelves latch up out of the way in seconds, singly or together, to give taller containers more clearance.
- Need a real ice load on a bench — the condenser runs down to -82 °C at 50 Hz with a 6 L condenser capacity, and a separate ice removal rate of up to 4 L per 24 hours (0.17 L per hour).

Frequently asked questions
Does the AdVantage Pro come with a vacuum pump?
No — it runs with a two-stage rotary vane (oil-sealed) pump or a suitable oil-free dry pump, which is required but ordered separately. Our team here can help you match a pump to the batch sizes and ice loads you expect.
Why buy SP VirTis AdVantage Pro from Thai Unique rather than direct from the manufacturer?
Because the people who look after it are here. Installation, calibration, scheduled maintenance, repairs with genuine parts and operator training are all handled by our team in Thailand, without routing every request overseas.
Can we test our own samples before deciding?
Yes. Our sample testing and method verification service runs your real samples so you can see the results this benchtop freeze dryer gives on your workload before you buy.
How much does it cost, and how do we request a quotation?
Pricing depends on the configuration, accessories and the scope of work in your laboratory. Tell our sales team what you need to analyse and how many samples you run per day, and we will propose a configuration together with lead time and service terms.
