The Picarro G2121-i Isotopic CO2 Analyzer is capable of measuring stable isotope ratios of carbon in CO2 and total CO2 concentration when coupled to a sample preparation front-end such as an Elemental Analyzer (EA), a Dissolved Inorganic Carbon acidification module or with Picarro’s Combustion Module (CM) designed by Costech. The analyzer is based on Picarro’s unique Cavity Ring Down Spectroscopy (CRDS), a time-based measurement utilizing a near-infrared laser to measure a spectral signature of the molecule. Gas is circulated in an optical measurement cavity with an effective path length of up to 20 kilometers. A patented, high-precision wavelength monitor makes certain that only the spectral feature of interest is being monitored, greatly reducing the analyzer’s sensitivity to interfering gas species, and enabling the high-precision 13C isotope measurements even if there are other gases present. As a result, the analyzer maintains high linearity, high precision, and high accuracy over a two fold dynamic range (2000ppm-4000ppm) with minimal calibration required. Precise temperature and pressure control systems designed into the Picarro G2121-i ensure accurate measurements over long periods of time with minimal use of calibration gases or standard reference material. The analyzer itself is exceptionally rugged and insensitive to changing ambient temperature, essentially drift and maintenance free, and requires no consumables, thereby offering significant ease-of-use and cost of ownership benefits.

Where the carbon isotope analyzer is used in Thailand
Based on the specifications above, the G2121-i suits laboratories that
- Need to measure stable carbon isotope ratios and total CO2 in samples prepared by an elemental analyzer or a combustion module
- Work with dissolved inorganic carbon samples and use an acidification module as the sample preparation front-end
- Run samples that may contain other gases, and rely on wavelength monitoring to keep 13C results precise
- Want steady results over long runs as room temperature changes, with little calibration gas use and no consumables

Frequently asked questions
Which sample preparation front-ends can the G2121-i be paired with?
The G2121-i is built to work with a sample preparation front-end, for example an Elemental Analyzer, a Dissolved Inorganic Carbon acidification module or Picarro’s Combustion Module designed by Costech. To check how it would fit with your current setup, talk to our team.
Why buy PICARRO G2121-i from Thai Unique rather than direct from the manufacturer?
Because the people who look after it are here. Installation, calibration, scheduled maintenance, repairs with genuine parts and operator training are all handled by our team in Thailand, without routing every request overseas.
Can we test our own samples before deciding?
Yes. Our sample testing and method verification service runs your real samples so you can see the results this carbon isotope analyzer gives on your workload before you buy.
How much does it cost, and how do we request a quotation?
Pricing depends on the configuration, accessories and the scope of work in your laboratory. Tell our sales team what you need to analyse and how many samples you run per day, and we will propose a configuration together with lead time and service terms.
